Daily Dead posted the trailer the day after its San Diego Comic-Con premiere, calling the film the long-awaited fifth feature in the 1978 cult-classic horror-comedy franchise.
The piece leads on John Astin returning as Professor Gangreen, and lists David Koechner, Eric Roberts, Catherine Corcoran, Dan Bakkedahl, Myrna Velasco, Vernée Watson and Paul Bates alongside him.
The trailer played in person at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25, 2026 before going online. The film opens in select US theaters on August 7, 2026.
